Cutting Taxes

Unfortunately, your government suffers from an addiction...your tax dollars

For two consecutive years I have voted to cut your income taxes by One Billion Dollars.

Your government does not have a revenue problem, but it definately has a spending problem.

There is a new "buzz-word" in Jefferson City..."Revenue Enhancement." This new phrase slewn about by the tax and spend liberals is nothing more than a tax increase. To many politicians these days want government to be everything to everyone. This is not the role of government.

In my mind, the government is there to foster an equal and level playing field and let everyone compete against each other...that's it! The government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers based on a tax/tax credit system that purposefully unlevels the playing field. This competition drives consumer cost down and quality up. This is just simple economics.

There is a saying in Jefferson City (and I'm sure in any legislature) that says, "When you rob Peter to pay Paul you will always have Paul's support." Unfortunately, there are some in Jefferson City that do just that, rob the productive to pay the nonproductive.

More must be done! I hope that you will join me in these efforts!
